Recent guests on the show were Liger stars Ananya Panday and Vijay Deverakonda. Although Ananya is a protégé of Dharma Productions, it seems that her mentor Karan Johar had some interesting questions for her. One of them was about her teenage love – Aryan Khan.
Koffee With Karan 7: Ananya Panday Admits She Was In Love With Aryan Khan Growing Up
Did that surprise you? Well, movie buffs would know that Ananya Panday is besties with Suhana Khan and Shanaya Kapoor. The trio grew up together amid movie-like families and are still quite close despite the long distance, hectic shooting schedules, competitive careers. Given that Karan Johar has been close to the Khan family, it seems the filmmaker had already seen the flying sparks. During the recent episode, the director-producer cleverly addressed the question to Ananya as she talked about her friendship with the Khan and Kapoor girl, asking if she had ever had an older brother in love with one of her friend’s siblings. Ananya Panday was quite candid and replied, “He’s cute. I was in love with him growing up. The reason it wasn’t fertile… well ask him.” Karan responded, saying it would have been great to see two childhood sweethearts get together.
In addition, the actress also spoke about her friendship with Suhana Khan and Ananya Panday. When Karan Johar asked if one of the three actresses would stand out from the others, it will affect their dynamic, to which Ananya claimed their friendship would stand the test of time. “I’d like to believe it wouldn’t affect our friendship. We just have a lot of genuine love for each other. It was a collective dream for us growing up to be actors together. We’ve had so many discussions about it. We also played plays. I think I will be just as happy for Shanaya and Suhana’s success as I am for mine.”
