Adipurush starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan and more is now in cinemas. The Om Ruth directing is one of the highly anticipated films of this year. It was delayed due to the backlash the Adipurush teaser received for the shoddy VFX upon release. The creators took a few steps back and began to correct the same. And now the day of Adipurush’s release has finally arrived. BollywoodLife’s internal critic is currently watching Adipurush and has a pre-interval update, a short movie review for you guys. This is how Adipurush begins…
The story of the film stays true to Ramayan and does not deviate from the original story we grew up with. The film takes its time to transport the audience into the Adipurush universe. The story begins with Raghava (Prabhas), Janaki (Kriti Sanon) and Shesh (Sunny Singh) in the forest. The film does not give the backstory as to why they are in exile, but starts from that chapter.
Adipurush movie review
The first good 20-25 minutes have hardly any dialogues, especially for Prabhas. And it is Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh who menacingly steals the show. You know why the creators kept his look or kept him away from promotions. The wait has been worth it. Saif owns every frame and will leave you in awe.

What is bad in Adipurush pre-interval
I wish we could say the same for the VFX. But unfortunately we can’t. While Adipurush is extremely high on VFX, it’s nothing that will leave you in awe. But at the same time, it’s not as bad as we had experienced during the first glimpses of the movie. For Prabhas fans, Adipurush scenes will sometimes remind you of Baahubali with Prabhas emerging from pretty waterfalls. The first half of the movie is decent and entertaining. Now on to the second part, hoping it will inspire us with awe, as films of this genre and scale are expected to be.
Meanwhile, apart from Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan, Sunny Singh, Devdatta Nage and more also star in Adipurush. Prabha’s protagonist had a staggering advance booking. Let’s see how it fares at the box office on opening day despite giant predictions
