The husband of popular TV actress Ketki Dave, Rasik Dave, passed away from kidney failure on Friday, July 29 at the age of 65. According to TOI, Rasik suffered from kidney-related conditions and had been on dialysis for the past two years. His kidneys continued to deteriorate while the last month was very painful. His funeral is expected to take place around 7 a.m. Saturday morning.
Famous for her character Daksha in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Ketki’s character was known for her signature dialogue “Ara ra” and of course for her Jamnagar stories. The theater artist then married Rasik Dave who had made a comeback to television with his role of Karsandas Dhansukhlal Vaishnav in Sanskaar – Dharohar Apnon Ki.
Rasik started his career in 1982 in a Gujarati film Putra Vadhu. He then worked in both Gujarati and Hindi. Both Rasik and Ketki started their theater company in Gujarati. They even participated in Nach Baliye in 2006. Rasik leaves behind his wife, son and daughter.
Last year, Ketki made her villainous appearance in Balika Vadhu 2. She played the role of Gomti aka Maadi Baa.
