Ek Villain returns is stable on the second day as the film has collected in the range of Rs. 7.20 to Rs 7.60 crores. It’s a jump of about 7% to 10% on Saturday, bringing the Mohit Suri film’s 2-day total to Rs. 14.60 crores. The film stars John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria in lead roles.

The film stayed flat in the mass bands, while multiplexes were up 7%, leading to an overall jump in business. As it was a mass film, this was to be expected, but a fairly stable Saturday made Sunday’s growth very important. Ek Villain returns is expected to rise 15% on Sunday and this should bring the opening weekend total to Rs. 24 million dollars.

The weekend biz will pack quite a punch, and then, as always, it all depends on Monday’s crucial test. A Monday upside of Rs. 3.25 crores will be decent and put the film in the running to collect Rs. 50 crores in lifetime. The weekend of Ek Villain returns will exceed lifetime collections of bigger starcast movies like Jersey, Runway 34, Heropanti 2, Jayeshbhai Jordaar to name a few.
