The second season of Asur became a mega hit. The web series starring Arshad Warsi, Barun Sobti, Ridhi Dogra and others has been acclaimed from all angles. Aided by Oni Sen, the show has not only received positive reviews from critics, but even fans are impressed Ash 2. The series lives in the fantastic world of mythology and science and leaves everyone intrigued. We have contacted the director of the show Oni Sen and he spoke at length about Asur 2, mythology and more. Speaking of mythology, Om Raut’s movie Adipurush is much in the discussion. The film is slammed for several reasons.
So we asked Oni Sen if he has any advice for the filmmakers planning to touch the genre. And he said, “Well, I don’t know if I’m qualified to give advice to anyone. But my whole thing is, if you’re working on something related to Indian mythology, you have to be ready for it, you’re are actually dealing with a double edged sword I think that’s a fact because the mythology is so subjective you know a lot of people believe in a certain way look at it and analyze it and understand it in a certain way people do it different. And we all have our shapely ideas about who these characters from Mahabharata, Ramayana or whatever were supposed to be. So when you put it out in your own way, I think you’re always walking into somewhat dodgy territory. But at the same time i think whatever we do especially in our country i think we are all creators we should be aware of the fact that it’s not very hard not to get hurt feelings let me put it this way unless you want to make a statement want to make, which is fine, it’s your personal agenda to make a statement. But if you’re doing something for engagement, entertainment, stories, you can do that too without hurting the feelings. It’s not difficult. And whatever is currently happening with Adipurush, I mean, I haven’t looked at it. So I don’t really know much about it. I’ve heard things about it. I haven’t seen it, to be honest.”
