“Survivor” jumps into reality with the first nomination in 2006 – competitive racing – deadline

survivor is back in the Emmy race.

The CBS competition series has received a nomination for the Outstanding Reality Competition Program category — the first nomination in this category since 2006 for seasons 11 and 12.

The show will compete with CBS competitors The Amazing Race, RuPaul’s Drag Race, Top Chef And The voice.

Last year won the category Lizzo’s watch out for the big grrrls which was not eligible this year as there was no second season, and “Nailed It!” was also nominated.

It’s kudos for that survivorwho was regularly nominated in the early 2000s but fell out of favor with Academy voters.

Survivor is nominated for its seasons 43/44, which premiered in September 2022 and March 2023, respectively.

Hosted by Jeff Probst, the series is produced by Probst, Mark Burnett, Matt VanWagenen, Kahaia Pearson and Jesse Jensen. In February it was renewed for the 45th season.

It beat other shows like Disney+ Dancing with the starsRocus The Great American Baking ShowFox’s the masked singer, Netflix’s The circle and peacocks The traitors in the category with 59 entries.
