Anita Dongre’s Hommage is a celebration of its core philosophy – the knowledge that every garment is honored by its wearer. Inspired by traditional art and architecture, it was created for a muse who defies the pressure to meet or break free from societal expectations. The collection reinterprets motifs and details in a range of crafts and techniques, including Bandhni and Benarasi. Instead of models, Anita Dongre chose to portray Gen-Z women from different walks of life for this campaign. All five muses are an embodiment of the quintessential Anita Dongre woman – thoughtful, individualistic, always evolving and committed to charting her own path. Sara Tendulkar is slowly growing up in the fashion world. Previously she modeled for an international brand and now she can be seen in the campaign of designer Anita Dongre. In an Anita Dongre lehenga, Sara Tendulkar looks nothing less than a regal princess. She portrays the ideal model wearing a floral embroidered lehenga. The beautiful stitching on the lehenga is clearly original. Pink lehenga set with multicolored floral motifs hand embroidered on raw silk, with gota patti and sequin accents. Sara looks regal thanks to the beautifully styled Indian flowers in her hair. It was fitting to choose Sara Tendulkar as the inspiration for this campaign. The designer writes in her press statement that Sara has a great love for life sciences research.
Daughter of Javed Jaaferi, Alaviaa Jaaferi, a fashion influencer and entrepreneur, lends her charm to emphasize the transience of time – in architecture and human will. She wore a green lehenga with heavy jewelry and a heavy floral pattern. Serena Jethmalani looked gorgeous while donning a purple lehenga. The diva looked incredible as she posed for an amazing photo. We were simply captivated by the beautiful embroidery of the lehenga. Rhea Kuruvilla appeared like a regal queen due to her blue embellished lehenga and her understated yet exquisite ensemble is ideal for any bridal look.
Shot at the breathtaking Six Senses Fort Barwara in Rajasthan, ‘Homage’ by Anita Dongre features hand-painted Pichwai, signature gota patti, hand-woven benarasi and bandhani, in a rich palette of forest green, blush pink, fiery red, sunset purple, and soothing creams and blues. Six Senses Fort Barwara made a natural choice for this display, given a shared commitment to sustainability, nurturing local crafts and the community.
