Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor is on the remake bandwagon. The actor had a blockbuster with Kabir Singh which was a hindi remake of Arjun Reddy but his next remake, Jersey, didn’t do well at the checkout. Though he is also set for Ali Abbas Zafar’s next movie which is also a remake of the French movie, Nuit Blanchehe is in talks in advance to star in the Hindi remake of the Malayalam thriller Mumbai Police. The film originally starred Prithviraj Sukumaran.

According to a report on a media portal, the actor is currently in talks for the project being produced by Roy Kapur Films, the production house of Siddharth Roy Kapur. Rosshan Andrews, who helmed the original film, will also direct the remake. He is currently working on the script with Hindi script writers.

Mumbai Police with Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jayasurya and Rahman. The casting for the roles of the last two actors is in full swing. Meanwhile, the makers are in talks with a Southern industry actress to star opposite Shahid Kapoor.
