Raju Srivastava’s condition had deteriorated on Wednesday night. His chief adviser had informed the media that the comedian was near brain dead and also had heart problems. Raju’s deteriorating condition sparked concern among fans who continued to pray for a miracle. His wife Shikha Srivastava has now shared an update on her husband’s health, letting the media know that Raju is stable and doctors are treating him well.
“He is stable. Doctors are treating him well. Raju ji is a fighter and he will come back to be among all of us. We need your prayers and wishes,” Shikha said while speaking to a news agency. She also asked the media and fans not to spread rumors about Raju’s health as it hurts the family’s morale.
She said Raju’s family doesn’t want negative energy at such a critical time. She asked fans to pray for Raju’s speedy recovery and said he will be back soon. She also said that doctors are doing their best and that Raju is responding to them. “He’s fighting. So please don’t spread any negativity,” she added.
Earlier in the day, Raju was reported to have suffered brain damage and is still alive. His condition was said to be critical and has not yet regained consciousness. His fans and industry colleagues have flooded social media with prayers and wish Raju’s speedy recovery.
Last Wednesday, Raju had a heart attack while running on the trend mill at the gym. He was rushed to AIIMS in New Delhi, where he underwent angioplasty the same day. Since then, Raju has been on a ventilator in the ICU.
There were allegations that he overworked in the gym, but his cousin Kushal Srivastava denied such allegations. He asked the comedian’s fans not to disturb the family and asked their benefactor not to send messages to the family.
