Sunil Pal claims comedian may be removed from ventilator today

Raju Srivastava has been in intensive care in intensive care since he was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi on August 10 following a cardiac arrest. A few days ago his condition deteriorated and it was reported that the comedian was nearly brain dead and his heart was not functioning properly. His fellow comedian and friend Sunil Pal has now claimed that Raju could be removed from the ventilator today as his condition improves. Sunil Pal said that if Srivastava continues to make progress, as he has in recent days, he can be removed from the ventilator today. He has asked fans to stay positive about Raju’s health. The comedian said Raju is responding well to treatment and is recovering slowly. “His body reacts in different ways and that is why there are a number of statements made by everyone. By God’s grace he is now stable. Let’s hope for the best,” Sunil told IANS. “I’m not sure because I haven’t spoken to his family, but I’ve heard he can be taken off the ventilator today. Nothing has been confirmed at this point. It all depends on his health. I’ll be traveling in two or three days to see him. He is my big brother and guide and we must pray for his speedy recovery,” he added.

Raju collapsed while running on the treadmill at a South Delhi gym and was rushed to hospital by his trainer and reportedly undergoing CPR. He complained that he felt uneasy when he was taken to the hospital.
