Actress Mouni Roy, gearing up for the release of her upcoming movie Brahmastra, spoke of her experience working with co-stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the film which has been seven years in the making. Now, after several years of waiting, the film is all set to hit the big screen on September 9.

In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Mouni shared how “great” Ranbir and Alia are to work with. She said, “Oh my God, they’re such wonderful people. They’re so disciplined. They’re so passionate about what they do. I’ve seen them on set on time every day. Be there, just be there on set Because they’re part of everything that happens, they’re so aware.”
“I remember I think Alia remembers not just her own lines, but the whole scene or what everyone is saying or doing. There is so much to learn from those two. One thing I tell everyone, when I am asked about Ranbir- Alia, is that they are fire. They are just fire on the screen. They light up on the screen.”
About the qualities she noticed in both fellow actors, who are now married, she said: “They are very natural and very spontaneous. I feel like they don’t even need to prepare. I’m sure there is some work or preparation involved. But they are as spontaneous as they perform for you. It feels like it’s happening to them for the first time. They say the lines for the first time, no matter how many times they say or do the scene.”
Speaking of Brahmāstra, the film is a fantasy adventure drama based on Indian mythological concepts. Created and directed by Ayan Mukerji, it is produced by Dharma Productions. It is also said that the film will feature an extended cameo from Deepika Padukone. It is the first film in which real-life couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt can be seen together. The film will be released in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil on September 9.
