According to the Korean media portal Soompi, Sisters on the road is a 2008 film about two sisters Myung Joo and Myung Eun, who have different appearances, personalities, careers and even fathers. The film follows their journey as they search for Myung Eun’s father. The newly released character posters capture the sisters’ contrasting charms, personalities and environments.
The poster shows Myung Joo (Gong Hyo Jin) sitting on rocks by the ocean. The caption reads to her, “Do you not know forgiveness or atonement?” While Myung Eun (Shin Min Ah) looks for answers in her colorful character poster that reads, “Isn’t my heart being hurt as hurt?”

According to the report, Gong Hyo Jin plays the older sister Myung Joo, who runs a fish shop on Jeju Island and is a single mother of a daughter. Myung Joo clearly accepts all hardships that come her way and tries to be self-reliant. Meanwhile, younger sister Myung Eun has a deep grudge against her father for being so absent.
The digital remastering of Sisters on the road will be re-released in theaters on September 22.
