The actors of The White Lotus and Dope dominate this year’s Emmy nominees for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series. But could Seth Rogen play the spoiler?
Just like in the supporting actress category, the cast of white lotus and Dope won the vast majority of places in this race – six out of seven, to be exact. Three white lotus the actors earned their first career Emmy nominations here for their work in HBO’s luxury hotel comedy: Murray Bartlett, as self-destructive resort manager Armond; Steve Zahn, as sharing father Mark Mossbacher; and Jake Lacy, as the demanding newlywed Shane.
Hulu’s haunting docudrama Dope also landed a trio of nominations for its actors: Michael Stuhlbarg (also nominated in this category in 2018 for The impending tower), as infamous pharmaceutical company executive Richard Sackler; Peter Sarsgaard, as barrister Peter Mountcastle; and Will Poulter, as pharmaceutical rep Billy Cutler.
But hey, what about Rogen? The comedian is also in the game for playing sex tape thief Rand Gauthier on Hulu’s Pam and Tommy.
