Brahmastra, one of the most anticipated films of 2022, is growing in popularity by the day. Although the Ranbir Kapoor – Alia Bhatt starrer hits the screens on September 9, pre-bookings for the film started almost a week earlier. Not surprisingly, Brahmastra has seen more than 2 lakh tickets sold in PVR cinemas in India for the opening weekend alone. However, it seems that these pre-booking reports cannot impress the starring role of the film.
Brahmastra actor Ranbir Kapoor says he can’t take advance reservations seriously; talks about Alia Bhatt .’s inner trading analyst
At a press conference in Delhi, Ranbir Kapoor, who will play Shiva in the director’s Ayan Mukerji, was asked about the record pre-booking figures. In his response, the actor replied: “We can’t take these numbers seriously because until the audience doesn’t see the movie, the game doesn’t start. The film is made for the public. I think we’ll know where we are on Friday kitne paani ke andar hain (how well shall we do).”
Kapoor added: “But of course the feeling is positive. We came as Shah Rukh Khan from Dilwale [Dulhania] Le Jayenge, asking, ‘come and watch our movie!’ That’s all.” As he continued, Ranbir shared how his wife Alia Bhatt is excited about Brahmastrapre-booking and keeping reports. Ranbir said, “Alia is most excited right now. She is now a trade analyst. She notes everything, so much is open here, this is the reaction there”.
Speaking of the film, the cast of the film’s ensemble also includes Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy along with special appearances from Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. The big budget film will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.
