Amazon Prime Video has canceled the sci-fi series “Paper Girls” after its first season. Brian K. The rookie show, based on the Vaughan and Cliff Chiang graphic novel, premiered all eight of its episodes on July 29, and received positive reviews from critics.
While Amazon will not go ahead with the show, fellow producer Legendary Television will shop the series in hopes of finding a new home.
“Paper Girls” is a high-stakes personal journey portrayed through the eyes of four girls, led by Camry Jones as Tiffany Quilkin, Riley Lai Nellette as Erin Tieng, Sophia Rosinski as Mac Coyle. and Fina Straza as KJ Brandman. Ali Wong also stars as the older version of Erin, with Nate Corddry as Larry and Edina Porter as Prerace.
Early in the morning after Halloween 1988, four Paper Girls – Erin, Mack, Tiffany and KJ – embark on their delivery route when they are caught in a crossfire between warring time-travellers, changing their lives forever. Is. Transported into the future, these girls must find a way back home in the past, a journey that will bring them face-to-face with larger versions of themselves. Although “Paper Girls” popped up on third party streaming interest trackers such as Reelgood, it failed to chart since its debut on Nielsen’s weekly streaming viewership list.
The series – which belongs to Amazon Studios and Legendary Television in association with Plan B – is produced by Christopher C.
