James Corden had a little fun Monday with a funny video at the cost of Amazon Prime’s “Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” in which he claimed a whole bunch of weird and weird characters were on the show at one time. . You can watch that clip above now.
Inspiration was a video Entertainment Weekly brought to the public in early August to introduce the lead characters to Amazon Prime’s “Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.” It was a very touching clip in which the characters on a black background smile while looking at the camera as the scene between them fades.
Ineffective, and quickly forgotten, except, because social media is a toxic hell, someone later posted the clip to Twitter, claiming it was actually the show’s opening title sequence. Despite the fact that the video apparently has an Entertainment Weekly watermark, the clip went viral as a whole lot of confidante shared it and unfairly dipped into the show. Eventually, enough people pointed out the misrepresentation and Twitter finally Disclaimer pointing to the truth,
Still, the video is unintentionally funny, and people continue to make fun of it even after its origins became clear. Which brings us to Monday’s “The Late Late Show” and Corden’s clip.
