Meghan McCain weighs in on her View replacement choice

Meghan McCain got a little arrogant from the quest to find a permanent replacement for her vacant seat in “The View.” The former host said this week that he is overjoyed at how long it took for a conservative voice to be added to the table the entire time.

McCain left “The View” in August 2021 at the end of the show’s 24th season. For the entire season 25, the show had a revolving door of guest hosts, effectively auditioning them in real time. A few names have appeared as guest hosts several times, including Michelle Tafoya, Tara Setmire and others. But in the end, the full-time slot went to Ana Navarro, along with former Trump communications director Alyssa Farah Griffin.

In an interview with SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen this week, McCain boasted about the fact that he was replaced by two men, and that it took everyone on “The View” Season 25 to make that decision.

“It took me a year and two to change, which makes me feel good,” McCain said on “Andy Cohen Live.” “And I have to take that.”

When asked specifically for his views on Farrah Griffin, McCain was a bit mixed in his response, but criticized Farrah Griffin’s family at first.

“I don’t know her at all. All I know about her is that it’s her family. She comes from a very, extremely controversial background,” McCain explained. “Her father is a very famous homosexual and racist who started birthism. He’s actually the person who invented birthism Obama.”

McCain, who frequently invoked his father’s name and affiliation during his time on “The View”, said that Farrah Griffin’s father “is a man who is well known in political circles for his extremism,” And as a result, “I’m not automatically going to be in the kind of circles she runs in, or anyone who works in the Trump White House.”

McCain noted that Farrah Griffin’s father—who has been vocal about her separation from Alyssa on the show after the January 6 rebellion—is “not necessarily a reflection” of the host herself and that she generally It is expected that Farah Griffin will succeed in the role.

“I don’t want to say anything negative about someone who is doing this thing sooner or later,” McCain said. “I swore I would never, quite frankly, what is sherry? [Shepard] just did me I want [Alyssa] best of luck. It’s very difficult. It will get tougher in the medium term, and I wish him all the success.”

McCain’s irritation with Shepard comes from Shepard’s recent appearance on “Watch What Happens Live”, during which she notes that she has been in contact with all of her former co-workers from “The View” – except for McCain.
