Tom Cruise Surprises Couple While Filming Mission: Impossible 7 Stunts

Tom Cruise made some surprising appearances in the UK during filming Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1and most recently he was seen in the Lake District performing a helicopter stunt. Mission: Impossible 7 and 8 will reportedly bring Tom Cruise’s franchise to an end, though that’s something that’s already been disputed by director Christopher McQuarrie, but one thing’s for sure: if it’s Cruise’s swan song as Ethan Hunt, he’ll go out with a bang.


Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1 will be the first movie in the franchise since Mission: Impossible – Fallout made quite a dent at the box office in 2018. As in all of his films, Cruise has performed some amazing stunts for the film, often leading him to surprise unsuspecting members of the audience. As reported in the UK’s the northern echoCruise was recently filming in the Lake District in the north of England and took a moment to pose with a couple while apologizing for making such a noise.

The couple, Adam Wheeler and Lucy Hinch, recalled walking their dog in the picturesque region when they encountered Cruise filming a paragliding stunt. After waiting a short while, Cruise walked over to them and spent some time talking. Wheeler noted:

“He was nice and polite and very humble. Tom Cruise apologized for the noise from the helicopters and asked if everything was okay. He made sure that everyone who wanted to have their picture taken with him. We were the last to get his photo and then he just paraglide off the mountain back to his camp next to Buttermere.

At the age of 60, there would be actors who would love to have stuntmen do the hardest parts of filming an action movie, but Tom Cruise is definitely not that person. Recently seen Top Gun: Maverick Cruise’s willingness to put himself in real danger pays off in his movies. Whether it’s flying a plane, jumping out of a plane, fighting on a moving train, or performing motorcycle stunts, there’s little Cruise doesn’t do to ensure his films are as authentic as possible.

However, that could be coming to an end soon, and it seems unlikely he will star in another one Top Gun movie, and is said to be preparing to hang up his boots as Ethan Hunt in the Mission Impossible franchisee. However, the truth is that it’s not over until it’s over, and while many early reports have suggested Cruise may be pulling back from his big action roles, there are many who will only believe that when it actually happens.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1 is slated to hit theaters on July 7, 2023, with part 2 set to release the following year.
