In the TV show Anupamaa, currently the storyline is about the extramarital affair of Paritosh, also known as Toshu. Speaking to Indian Forums, Nidhi Shah said it is the harsh reality of society as extramarital affairs have been happening for a long time. She told how many women go through this, but still love their mothers instead of going against their husbands. She shared that many women will be able to resonate with Anupamaa’s latest song as it is something that happens often. Talking about how challenging it was for her to stage scenes after Kinjal learned about the affair with Toshu, she said she did her homework and even enlisted the director’s help to get the emotions right. In the show Anupamaa, Kinjal is angry because Toshu tried to justify his extramarital affair by saying that he had needs since his wife was pregnant. Vanraj, Anupamaa and everyone else are very angry with him. Kinjal takes revenge and tells him that she will only forgive him if he lets her have an affair. Toshu becomes irritated.
