Xiumin, member of South Korean pop group EXO, reportedly returns to star in new drama titled Sajangdol Mart (romanized title). Commenting on reports of Xiumin’s casting in the drama, SM Entertainment confirmed, “Xiumin will lead the new drama ‘Sajangdol Mart’.”
EXO’s Xiumin Returns To Starring In His First Drama Sajangdol Mart In 7 Years
According to the Korean media portal Soompi, Sajangdol Mart is a drama that depicts the various stories that unfold when members of the erstwhile idol group come together to run a supermarket.
The drama is headed by producing director (PD) Lee Yoo Yeon and the broadcast schedule is yet to be confirmed. Xiumin first made his drama debut in 2015 by starring in Falling for challenge followed by the movie Seondal: The Man Who Sells the River.
Recently, Xiumin also announced the upcoming release of his solo debut album Brand new on Sept 26. The release makes him the seventh member of the nine-piece pop band EXO to go solo, following in the footsteps of band members Baekhyun, Chen, Suho, Lay, Kai and DO.
