Discussing one’s struggles with depression, anxiety, and mental health was considered a taboo topic until a few years ago. But times have changed and today many celebrities talk openly about their mental health issues. Recently, popular television actor Vikas Grover also opened up fearful about his rendezvous, remembering the times when he faced the problems and what motivated him to overcome the challenges.

Vikas Grover said: “I had more anxiety than depression. These two are very different from each other. And this fear that you get is not something that comes to you suddenly; it takes a long time to reach you. I had problems, and those little problems started to hit me, and I didn’t understand what was happening to me, like a severe headache, sudden stomachache, or feeling uneasy, so none of this was normal.”
The actor revealed that he discussed his issues with his co-stars, but did not get a very positive response from them. “I asked my co-actors, who were like brothers to me, instead of talking about it with my family first. When I shared my problem with them, I realized they didn’t even bother and ignored me. And then I realized that people who say you’re like a brother or like family to them are there until the show goes on. Once the show ends, any relationship they build ends. No one understood my pain and avoided me. In the end I had to discuss it with my family,” he added.
The actor told about his visit to the psychiatrist. “A visit to a psychiatric hospital does not mean that you have gone mad. If you are sick, you go to the doctor, in my case I went to a psychiatrist and also some therapists, and took some medicine. My family has supported me in this, especially my mother. She was always there by my side. And now I’m completely fit,” he concluded.
