Mike Judge Reunites With Zach Woods For New Animated Series At Peacock

After recently revived Beavis and Butthead for Paramount+ even more adult animation is available Mike Judge. Per Deadlineit was just announced that Judge will then move on to NBCUniversal’s Peacock to develop the animated series Informed. The show Judge is working with Silicone Valley star Zach Woods to create has already received a direct order on the streaming platform. This is the first adult animated series for Peacock, which brought in one of the all-time greats of the genre in Judge to get the ball rolling in that area.


The series follows Lauren Caspian, described as NPR’s third most popular presenter. According to a description of the series, Lauren is “a well-meaning, hypocritical nimrod, just like you and me. He’s also a stop-motion puppet. Each episode follows the making of an episode of Lauren’s show In the Know, in which Lauren conducts in-depth interviews out with real human dudes. Lauren works with a diverse crew of NPR employees. They’re also puppets and nimrods.”

Judge is the executive producer of the series along with his King of the Hill co-creator, Greg Daniels, as well as Woods. Brandon Gardner, co-creator of Informed, is also executive producing. Judge and Woods will both provide voiceovers for characters in the series, while other voice cast talents have yet to be announced.

Universal TV president Erin Underhill added: “We are thrilled to be working with such a skilled team on this unique and inventive series and can’t wait for the public Informed.”

Mike Judge brought back Beavis and Butt-Head

Mike Judge spent some time with animation including his run working on Silicone Valley for HBO, but he’s since jumped back into the genre that made him famous. This year he rose again Beavis and Buttheadfirst in the form of an animated film called Beavis and Butt-Head do the universe which premiered on Paramount+. He has also released a new revival series on the streamer called Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head with new episodes every Thursday.

Maybe he was enjoying his time back in animation, there had also been messages Judge wanted to bring back King of the Hill with a separate revival for Fox. It was recently reported that Fox has passed on the series, although the door is still open to the possible revival of finding a new home elsewhere. But now that Judge goes on with Informed at Peacock, efforts to bring back Hank Hill and his family as well may have stalled. In any case, Judge will be busy for the foreseeable future.
