Johnny Knoxville gets some chin music from his son

With the stretch of the MLB season upon us, Jimmy Kimmel this week hosted “Jackass” star Johnny Knoxville and a son’s own star pitcher for a little backyard baseball.

As Reggie Jackson saidIt’s that time of year when “they turn a baseball into a golf ball, the game gets louder, the pace gets faster, the mound draws closer, the walls close, the lights go brighter, the lamps warmer.” become.”

And so it was that Knoxville called his son “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” To show the world what he has.

“Johnny, we’ve spent no time creating this uh, this baseball-type situation up our alley, here,” Kimmel said during the segment for Monday night’s show.

As Kimmel explained, Knoxville’s son Rocco joined Kimmel’s show to pitch his father in a makeshift batting cage behind the show’s Hollywood Studios. The makeshift here translates into open air with an existing parking-lot fence on one side, a brick wall on the other, a batting pitcher’s screen to protect Rocco and a short backstop behind Kimmel, Knoxville batting and an umpire.

Luckily for all involved, Knoxville didn’t wield the bat with the touch of an expert.

“Johnny’s son Rocco is a 12-year-old pitcher,” Kimmel said before kicking off the bat. “He’s got a lot of hands.”

Kimmel likens that situation to a situation when he learns that his son can surpass him in a certain skill or achievement, or “Kill me, but can also kill me. So we want to see if.” Rocco can kick his father out.”

“We might have that day,” replied Knoxville, who looked no taller than his son at 51 and 6-foot-1.

“I want to say before I start this, the sun is in my eyes,” Knoxville joked, pointing to the alley, “my son is in my eyes.”

For Knoxville’s sake, it appeared that he closed his eyes—once he swung. And for good reason. It appears that Rocco Knoxville has a bright future on the mound.

While Rocco raised his father, Kimmel took his place behind the makeshift plate as the catcher, wearing only a catcher’s mitt and his usual suit and tie.

“I’m not wearing a cup, but the kind,” Kimmel said.

Rocco starts things off with a fastball and pretty much outside. The second pitch was at Knoxville’s waist and was slightly outside but was called a strike.

For the third pitch, Rocco let his father down on his chin, which caught Knoxville off guard, but he was still able to get out of the way.

“Oh yes, man!” Knoxville said. “Jesus!”

But the batting continued. And three pitches later, Knoxville took a brave swing after claiming he was going to “put on La Brea” a few blocks away.

But the ‘Jackass’ star had no chance. And Mighty Johnny was kicked out.

“It was legit,” said Knoxville, repeating himself, not surprised. “That was a valid K.”
