Best TV Series Coming to HBO Max in October 2022

Since its inception in May 2020, HBO Max has built up a sizable collection of movies and TV shows. With fan favorites like Liars and critically acclaimed shows like peacekeeperHBO Max has managed to gain tens of millions of loyal subscribers. But despite the strength of its loyal viewership and quality of content, HBO Max has seen more ups and downs than Nicolas Cage’s career.

And unfortunately, the current trajectory seems to point downwards. Caught in an administrative quagmire, the streaming platform seems to be more concerned with canceling prominent projects than adding new ones to its library. In August 2022, Warner Bros. indicate that they Cancel DCs batgirl and Scoob! Holiday Hauntboth of which were intended to be released on HBO Max. batgirl was already filmed and Scoob! The holiday residence was in the post-production stage. This shocking move was followed by an even more bizarre decision to remove shows like Moonshot, The Witches, American Pickle, and Super intelligence from the platform.

The White Lotus Season 2 – to be determined October 2022

The white lotus is not an easy watch. It forces the viewer into introspection and asks difficult questions about race, class wealth and privilege. Although it is full of socio-political commentary, The white Lotus doesn’t come across as preachy at all. The secret lies in the show’s ability to jump seamlessly from one genre to another, keeping the themes intact but refusing to confine itself to a categorical framework. One minute you’re watching a quirky comedy show, the next it becomes a murder mystery. So it’s no surprise that the masterful show was nominated for 20 Emmy Awards and would return for a second season. The white LotusSeason 2’s cast includes Jennifer Coolidge (the only recurring actor from Season 1), Aubrey Plaza, F. Murray Abraham, and Tom Hollander, just to name a few. At the time of writing, Season 2 does not have a specific release date, but will air on HBO Max sometime in October 2022.
