3 Pam & Tommy

Clay fans were thrilled when it was announced that he’d landed a part in a Woody Allen movie. In Blue Jasmine, Clay plays Ginger’s (Sally Hawkins) ex-husband and was a perfect fit for the character. Augie is a tough and fierce person who hates the main character of the film, Jasmine (Cate Banchett). What’s great about the role is the fact that Dice was able to bring a lot of his comedic persona to the character. That said, he also brought a lot of original ideas with him. Clay plays the father of Ally Maine (Lady Gaga), Lorenzo, in Bradey Cooper’s A star is born. Clay is a scene stealer in every scene he is in. He perfectly portrays a working-class father who genuinely cares about his daughter’s happiness. At the same time, we see that his character has certainly gone through dark times in the past. Lady Gaga and Dice work extremely well together in the film. Delivering a balanced mix of comedy and drama, Dice was the perfect choice for the role. He pops up here and there throughout the film, giving the audience a look into the eyes of a normal man watching his daughter achieve extraordinary things.
