Ever since the remix version of Falguni Pathak’s iconic song ‘Maine Payal Hai Chhankai’ was released, some of the netizens singer Neha Kakkar has been brutally trolling. The remix version has certainly disappointed many Falguni Pathak fans. And now, finally, the well-known singer has also broken her silence and expressed her opinion on this.
Falguni Pathak Responds To ‘Maine Payal Hai’ Remake; says: ‘I wish I could take legal action’
In an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, the Dandiya Queen shared that she has been overwhelmed by her fans’ love for the original song, and that she felt she had to reflect their feelings. Later, when asked if she was willing to take legal action, she replied, “I wish I could, but the rights are not with me”, while revealing that she was not approached by the creators of ‘O Sajna ‘.
The publication further asked Pathak if the creators or Neha Kakkar were trying to reach her after seeing her Instagram stories expressing displeasure with the remixed version, the veteran singer replied, “No.”
For the inexperience, the 53-year-old singer again shared the reactions of the public on her Instagram story. Speaking of Neha Kakkar starrer ‘O Sajna’, the song was released on September 23, 2022. Along with Neha Kakkar, the music track also featured Instagram influencer Dhanashree Verma and actor Priyank Sharma.
On the other hand, the original version of the song was released in 1999 and featured Vivan Bhathena and Nikhila Palat.
