Every dream becomes an adventure in New Slumberland Clip

As part of Tudum: A Netflix Global Fan Event, the streamer has released a new clip of the upcoming fantasy movie, slumberland, which premieres on November 18. A loose adaptation of Winsor McCay’s comic book Little Nemo inside slumberlandthe latest clip features Jason Momoa (Aquarius) as Flip, a shaggy but lovable bandit, who takes it up as Nemo’s (Marlow Barkley) guide to the world of dreams.


slumberland is about a young girl, Nemo, who discovers a secret map to the dream world of Slumberland. After her father Peter (Kyle Chandler) is unexpectedly lost at sea, the young girl’s idyllic life in the Pacific Northwest is turned upside down when she is sent to be with her well-meaning but very clumsy Uncle Phillip (Chris O’ Dowd) to live. While her new school and new routine are challenging during the day, at night she uses the secret map to travel to Slumberland. With the help of Flip, an eccentric outlaw, she traverses dreams and flees nightmares in hopes of seeing her dead father again.

During Tudum, Momoa unveiled a brand new clip from his upcoming fantasy and adventure movie. In the clip, Flip welcomes Nemo to his magical realm and introduces himself as an outlaw who breaks the rules and has a serious dislike for the agents patrolling Slumberland (in a plot waiting to be discovered). Though Nemo still mourns her father’s death, Flip is determined to cheer Nemo up by taking her to reunite with her father. Finally, in Slumberland, Nemo learns that she has the ability to explore her dreams and make her fantasy come to life.

Marlow Barkley Says Working With Jason Momoa Was A Dream Come True

“In the movie, Nemo’s relationship with Flip starts off badly because he doesn’t want her there, but she sticks to this connection with Flip because she thinks he can help her find her father,” Barkley told Netflix. But off-screen, Barkley said working with Momoa was a dream come true. “He made me feel so welcome,” the actor said. “We joked on set, raced against each other and sang funny songs. He made me feel like we’ve known each other for years.”

slumberland will be directed by Francis Lawrence (I Am Legend, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire & Mockingjay)), written by David Guion and Michael Handelman (Night at the museum; Secret of the grave), and produced by Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, David Ready and Francis Lawrence. The film also stars Weruche Opia, India De Beaufort and Humberly Gonzalez.
