Dancing With The Stars Pro Daniela Karagach To Miss Monday Show After COVID Diagnosis

Joseph Baena will have a new partner on Monday’s “Dancing with the Stars” after his current supporter, Daniela Karagach, tested positive for COVID.

A spokesperson for the show confirmed that Karagach tested positive overnight. He is asymptomatic and self-quarantined. The show said anyone who has been in close contact with him has tested negative, and those who have been in close contact will wear a mask on Monday night’s show on Disney+ as per the show’s policy.

As previously reported by TheWrap, Disney+ production of “Dancing with the Stars” was hit by multiple cases of COVID-19 after Season 31 debuted last Monday.

“During the five days, there were a total of four Covid positives among more than 300 production staff,” a spokesperson for the show said in a statement to TheWrap last Friday. “All four individuals work in completely different departments, based on our pod system with no in-person interaction with each other.”

“Contact tracing was conducted immediately,” the statement continued. “All close contacts were informed and put on an increased testing regimen. No close contacts of the four positive production workers have tested positive. The entire set has been disinfected. As an additional precaution, we have asked most of the employees to work from home.”
