Directed by Ayan Mukerji Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt was released a while back to a thunderous response from the public. As one of the highly anticipated releases of the film, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy, there were huge expectations. To the same life, Brahmastra does quite well at the box office. After crossing the Rs. 100cr and Rs. 200 cr mark, it seems Brahmastra has come much closer to Rs. 250 cr mark.
In this box office report we look at the third weekend collections of Brahmastra while comparing the same to previous 2022 releases that made it this far. Collecting Rs. 20.95 cr Brahmastra managed to surpass The Kashmir Files, which collected Rs. 20.85 cr to emerge as the second highest third weekend grosser of 2022. Although RRR, which collected Rs. 23 cr, leads the list of top third weekend grossers, Brahmastra managed to beat other releases as well, such as KGF – Chapter 2, which collected Rs. 20.77 cr, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 which collected Rs. 13.07 cr, Gangubai Kathiawadic which collected Rs. 11.50 cr, Jugjugg Jeeyo which collected Rs. 4.77 cr, Important which collected Rs. 1.48 cr, Samrat Prithviraj which collected Rs. 1 cr, and Ek Villain returns which collected Rs. 0.42 cr.
Moving forward, Brahmastra is expected to continue to dominate the box office despite new releases hitting screens. In fact, with the reduced ticket prices, trade estimates state that the film’s business will see further growth which will be further supported with Navratri’s festivities.
