Kayla Bailey, daughter of women’s basketball star Brooke Bailey, has died aged 25

Basketball Women star Brooke Bailey mourns the death of her only daughter, Kayla Bailey, who passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022 from unknown causes at the age of 25. Kayla was involved in a car accident earlier on Sunday.


The reality star, 45, announced her daughter’s death in a post on Instagram. “Forever my baby, Pretty Black, aka Kayla Nicole Bailey. This is not a goodbye. Mommy will see you soon,” Brooke captioned a series of photos of her daughter over the years in the September 25 Instagram post.

Per TodayThe VH1 star also thanked fans for their support in her IG stories, saying:

My baby girl is so loved by all of you!!! The love and support my family has received today is unreal and so much appreciated. Kayla has left a mark on so many lives. She entered the room demanding respect, love and attention. If you had the pleasure of meeting her and being friends with her, she changed your life forever.

The VH1 explained that she “fasted and prayed” several days before Kayla’s death, believing she was “preparing for something else.” Now she understood, “It was Gd who prepared me for this moment in my life. Although I was not prepared, I am grateful for the 25 years he blessed me to have HIS child. To love her, to hold her to love her, to teach her, to comfort her. She was my happiness on earth.”

Kayla Bailey had a car accident
