The Solstice actor was 33 – Deadline

Robert Cormier, a television and film actor whose credits include the role of Finn Cotter on the long-running Canadian series heartland as well as the Netflix horror series Slasher: Solstice died September 23. He was 33 years old. No cause of death was given.

Cormier has played Finn on CBC for the past two seasons heartland, which has run for 15 seasons on Canadian television and holds the record as Canada’s longest-running hour-long drama. It is also syndicated in the US

His other TV appearances included that of ABC/Netflix Designated Survivor, CBS’ Hostage, and played Winston for two episodes on Starz American gods.

In the film he appeared in Jasmin Mozaffari firecrackers which had its world premiere at the 2018 Toronto Film Festival. Other large image credits include Otto in the Pyrenees (2018) and Al in the crossroads (2019).

“Robert Cormier, aka Finn from Heartland, was an incredible talent who left way too soon,” he wrote heartland‘s US network UpTV. “We are deeply saddened to learn of his passing. Our sincere condolences go out to his friends, family and staff.”

Cormier is survived by his parents Robert and Lisa; his sisters Brittany, Krystal and Stephanie; his grandmother Joanne; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
