‘Just to be honest’

As “Bachelor in Paradise” kicks off its latest season this week, bartender Wells Adams has a confession: It’s not the best gig ever. That title now goes to hosting Hulu’s new pizza-making contest, “Best in Dough.”

Now streaming, the series follows different groups of contestants as they compete to be the best in the show — er, dough. They create creative pizza creations — from weird trends like pizza cones and cupcakes, to monochromatic pizzas — in hopes of winning $10,000 in prize money. Adams hosts the contest with the assistance of professional chef Daniel Uditi. And though being in the kitchen is quite different than being behind the bar, Adams is willing to be honest about which gig is more fun for him.

“Well, you know, ABC might kick me out for saying this, but I just have to be honest. I used to say I have the best job in the world. I used to go to Mexico every year and I had to sit and these Got to see all the idiots running around and being like, this dumpster fire burns on TV and be like, ‘This is amazing,'” Adams told TheWrap. “And then I got to do a show with Daniels where we ate pizza every day. And I was like, ‘Oh my god, that was the funniest thing I’ve ever had to work on.’ And my second job is so amazing. But the truth of the matter is, working on ‘Best in Atta’ was honestly like one of the highlights of my life.”

Of course, a lot of that fun comes straight from Uditi, and her own skill in the kitchen.

“It was a lot of fun. Danielle is a lot of fun to be around. She has like such positive energy,” Adams continued. “She is an amazing cook. And one thing, like, I don’t know if it’s ever really [seen] On the show, it is that after every week of filming, Daniels would come into the kitchen and cook pizza to the entire crew. And oh my god, were those days absolutely wonderful. ,

And though she may already be a skilled cook, Uditi learned a few things thanks to her “Best in Dough” herself.

“I always say this, even in my restaurants – I listen to everyone. You can learn anything, [even] from a dishwasher. Because if she has a taste for pizza, she might have an opinion,” said Uditi. “So I always like to listen to everyone, don’t interrupt… I don’t like to shut down violators, I always leave the door open for new ideas to come in because it not only makes you a better chef, but also makes a better person.”

“Best in Dough” is now streaming on Hulu.
