SCOOP: Ayushmann Khurrana slashes his remuneration to Rs. 15 crores after two back-to-back failures : Bollywood News

Ayushmann Kurrana was doing well in the pre-pandemic era and his films proved to be a profitable venture for all stakeholders. However, the pandemic turned the tide for almost every actor. While the success of movies led Ayushmann Khurrana to increase his fees to the amount of Rs. 25 crores, we hear the failures have lowered his fees back to pre-pandemic levels. According to an industry source, a course correction is taking place across the industry as we write this.

Ayushmann’s acting costs have dropped from Rs. 25 crores to Rs. 15 million dollars following the underperformance of Anek and Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui. The producers of his upcoming films have asked the actor to support them in difficult times and he willingly agreed for the greater good of the movies.His new market rate is Rs.15 crores,” a source close to the actor revealed to Bollywood Hungama.

Ayushmann is currently full of offers from multiple producers, but wait to see how Doctor G rates at the ticket office before deciding on his next film. He is on Dream Girl 2 until the end of the year and will decide on his next project once the two films come out. Ayushmann is even hopeful that upcoming releases will get him back in the race,” the source added.

Ayushmann is not the first actor to lower his prices. Akshay Kumar, who used to pay Rs. 144 crores for a movie, dropped to Rs. $72 million, John Abraham, Shahid Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao also cut their fees in half. Indeed, the industry is in the reconstruction phase.
