Mila Kunis may have met her husband Ashton Kutcher on the set of “That ’70s Show,” where she played the on-again off-again couple Jackie and Kelso, but she’s not sure their characters’ turbulent romance will last.
The couple is set to reprise their roles in the upcoming Netflix sequel “That ’90s Show,” and Kunis recently revealed during a Interview with Access Hollywood That Jackie and Kelso are married with a child in the new series – a development in which they took some issue.
“Me and my husband are together” [the new show], which is weird ’cause we shouldn’t have been,’ Kunis said. “You know what, what I told BS, I was like, ‘My character will be with Fez.’ I think I ended up with Wilmer. [Valderrama]character of.”
The actress also revealed that at the end of “That ’70s Show”, Kelso is already spoken for. “We’re 20 now — no, 16 years later, whatever, and now we’re married with a kid. And I was like, ‘I don’t know about this,'” Kunis joked.
True, the series ends when Kelso moves to Chicago to be closer to his current partner, Brooke (Shannon Elizabeth), with whom he had a daughter named Betsy. But that didn’t leave Jackie without professing his love once again, who also admitted that he still has feelings for Kelso.
The pair agreed that they were growing up before their relationship worked, but the show didn’t completely close the doors to their romance. Jackie and Kelso were also a fan favourite, so it makes sense that the writers would want to give that win to the audience.
Kunis called the spinoff “so sweet,” but also admitted that she was a little nervous to film with her now-husband, especially on set where their relationship began.
“I was more nervous to do this than anything else in my career,” she said. “I don’t know. It made me very uncomfortable, because acting is bulls-ing. At the end of the day, it’s all about f-ing bulls-ing. So, when we were doing a scene or rehearsing Then I would look at my husband and say, ‘Oh my god, you look like this when you act.'”
