Inside Amy Schumer Clips Released Prior to Paramount+ Return

The sketch comedy series Inside Amy Schumer returns in October for a fifth season on Paramount+ and a few sketches have been released online ahead of the new season premiere. From 2013 to 2016, the series previously ran for four seasons on Comedy Central. Last year it was announced that Schumer would be reviving the series for a 2022 return on Paramount+.

In a new sketch, titled “Colorado,” Amy Schumer focuses on the controversial Roe v. Wade reversal. Schumer poses as a state spokesperson to encourage tourists to visit Colorado for certain services not offered elsewhere in the country. She doesn’t specifically mention Roe v. Wade, but it’s clear from the comments made by Schumer and others in the skit that they’re talking about pregnant women in states where abortion is illegal.

“We are more than just a beautiful wilderness,” Schumer says in the clip. “We also have bustling city centers and access to all the services you need. All as legal as a fresh mug of hot chocolate is refreshing.”

At another point, she adds, “Not that you need a big, dramatic reason to come to Colorado! No one should justify a trip to Colorado. Maybe you just want to do with your own body what you do with your own body.” want to do.”

You can view the sketch below.

A second clip has also been released by Paramount+. In this skit, titled “Home Spanx,” Michael Ian Black plays a Home Spanx pitchman who invades Schumer’s house to offer the special shapewear that can be worn at home. Encouraging Schumer to continue wearing shapewear, even when she’s trying to relax at home with her partner, the pitchman mockingly says, “Just because you’re home doesn’t mean it’s okay to be a big fat one.”

Inside Amy Schumer returns for season 5

The new season of Inside Amy Schumer will consist of five episodes, the first two of which will premiere on October 20. Paramount+ has promised more over-the-top skits and heartbreaking giggles that fans had been anticipating after a six-year hiatus from the show. Schumer has also teased that she will push the boundaries with the new series, more than ever before.

“I wanted to bring back Inside Amy Schumer to burn all the bridges left over,” Schumer said when it was announced that her sketch comedy series was being revived. “So sit down and open your pants (so you’re comfortable, not in a sexual way) slightly back. You don’t want to miss the show that will eventually cancel me forever.”

Inside Amy Schumer will return with new episodes on October 20, 2022, on Paramount+. New episodes appear on the streaming platform every Thursday.
