Kevin Feige Says Werewolf By Night Will Be Important To The MCU In New Featurette

Werewolf at night is almost ready for release and the public is ready for a Halloween special with a classic horror vibe. Michael Giacchino, director of the upcoming project, has already shared the inspiration behind the TV movie. Movies and shows such as: The Wolfman, The Creature from the black lagoonand the twilight zone has greatly inspired the composer/filmmaker, and audiences can expect something similar from Werewolf at night.


Since the Halloween special is just that, a special, fans shouldn’t expect too much from the story tied to the overall MCU. In a new promo clip from IGNMarvel Studios President Kevin Feige Assures Fans That Werewolf at night will have a number of important consequences in the future. “We wanted to explore all-new characters and all-new sides of the MCU with this unusual, fun, and terrifying twist on the supernatural,” Feige says during the behind-the-scenes look. However, despite the new characters, he says, “We’re introducing a world that will eventually become very important to the future of the MCU.”

It is unclear how Werewolf at night will connect to the overarching Marvel Cinematic Universe, as the story appears to be self-contained. However, the project’s official synopsis reads: “Follows a lycanthrope superhero who fights evil using the abilities given to him by a curse inflicted by his bloodline.” So, of course, the latest MCU project can connect to the Midnight Sons, Sheet or being centered in a whole new universe. Michael Giacchino is ready to lead a grand project

Michael Giacchino is a legendary composer, working on projects such as Spider-Man: No Way Home, WandaVision, Lostand clover field, to name a few. Now he’s giving a shot at directing after his previous two credits as a filmmaker went to a few short stories. When it’s over the twilight zone inspiration with the Post Cred PodcastGiacchino discussed how Werewolf at night would have some similarities with the anthology series from the 1960s.

“For me, that was again a cornerstone for what I wanted to do in terms of telling a shorter story, you know, that had bigger implications and talked about things bigger than himself,” Giacchino says of the twilight zone. “twilight zone, To me, Rod Sterling is a god and I give thanks every day that he existed because what he brought into the world for me was one of the best things ever.”

Fans can expect something similar to that series as the show told independent stories in each episode. The director wants to do the same with Werewolf at night while ensuring that the project aligns with what is happening in the MCU.
