Godfather starring Chiranjeevi and Salman Khan is gearing up for its big release in Telugu and Hindi on the 5th of this month on Dussehra. The promotions for the film are in full swing. Recently, the Telugu trailer of the film was unveiled with a massive response. Today they grandly released the Hindi trailer of the film in presence of Chiranjeevi, Salman Khan, Satya Dev and a few others in Mumbai.
Chiranjeevi reveals Salman Khan didn’t charge a dime for GodFather: ‘Who else has a big heart than him?’
At the press conference in Mumbai, Chiranjeevi said he had invited Salman Khan to attend Godfather to which Salman said ‘don’t ask and stuff and just tell’. Chiranjeevi asked Salman to look Match and then decide if he wants to be part of Godfather. “He said don’t ask, tell me, all these things happened in ten minutes. At that point, I felt this movie was going to be a hit. I felt very happy that he gave (dates) when we asked because of other problems we couldn’t use his dates. He is like a cooperative (man). There is something sincere and I owe you a lifetime of gratitude, Sallu,” he said.
“When my producers went to hand him the big check, the manager went in and at the same speed he came out and said I didn’t want to take this. He said that the producer wants to buy my love and affection for Chiranjeevi at this price. I do it for love and affection and he throws himself into it. Who else has a big heart than him?” he said.
Salman said, “It’s not about the heart. It’s a matter of love for cinema that you have, I have.”
Chiranjeevi will be seen as Brahma as well as Godfather. Salman plays an accomplice in the film. Nayanthara and Satya Dev also play a central role. Nirav Shah is the cinematographer; S Thaman does the background score. The production design of Konidela Production Company and Super Good Films is top-notch.
The film, directed by Mohan Raja, hits theaters on October 5, 2022.
