The long-awaited first teaser of Prabhas starrer adipurush is here. Starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan and Sunny Singh, the film has captured attention from the start. After dropping the much first poster earlier this week featuring Prabhas playing Lord Ram, fans are finally getting a glimpse into Om Raut’s world of Ramayana. The highly anticipated teaser was unveiled on October 2 on the banks of the Sarayu River in Lord Ram’s holy land, Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. The grand event featured superstar Prabhas and Kriti Sanon along with director Om Raut and producer Bhushan Kumar.

The teaser opens with a broad view of a sea where Lord Ram (Prabhas) meditates underwater. He uses his bow and arrow to kill the demons. The timeless story of good versus evil, justice versus injustice. We get a glimpse of Saif Ali Khan as Ravana and his ten heads. Kriti Sanon appears as Sita, while Sunny Singh plays Lord Lakshman. The teaser goes back and forth between Vanar sena, Lord Ram going to fight against Ravana who has captured Sita. The scenes from the sea, battles and more add impact. The teaser is heavy on visual effects. The Hindi teaser has the voice over by Sharad Kelkar.
Earlier in the day, a source told Bollywood HungamaThe film’s team will walk from a purpose-built bridge over the Sarayu River. They enter the stage where a giant poster of the film, measuring 15 meters in size, is unveiled. Then on a screen , the teaser will be shown. Interestingly, the promo will be played consecutively in all five versions – Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
The source revealed that the first-look event of this magnitude has never happened before for a movie in India. The source stated: “About 10,000 people are expected to witness the event. 250 police officers and 200 bouncers have been deployed. We are confident that this event will be talked about and remembered for years to come.”
The film is based on Ramayana and shows the triumph of good over evil. This religious city where the launch event will take place in Uttar Pradesh is also the birthplace of Lord Ram, making the venue much more relevant to this grand event.
Produced by T-Series Films and Retrophiles, the film features Prabhas as Lord Ram, while Kriti plays the role of Janaki (Sita). It also stars Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh and Sunny Singh as Lakshman. adipurush is a visual spectacle to be released in IMAX and 3D on January 12, 2023. It will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam in theaters.
