Like any good “Saturday Night Live” veteran, Melissa Villaseor has a whole arsenal of celebrity impressions in her back pocket. But arguably her best belongs to Gwen Stefani — and she finally got to do it to the singer’s face. The good news: Stephanie liked it.
The two first met on “The Kelly Clarkson Show”, although as Villaseor said, they have interacted online before. When the “SNL” alum thanked Stefani for re-posting some videos of her impression of the singer, Stefani said it was actually “an honor” to be betrayed.
“I mean, I always say you made it if someone likes, dressed up for Halloween or made fun of you,” Stephanie joked.
That said, Clarkson admitted that she never saw Stephanie’s impression of Villaseor — so naturally, the comedian busted it. But she also had to take some time to point out the dangers of doing so in her daily life.
“So, you know, no doubt comes on the radio, or Gwen, you come on the radio, and I’m driving – it’s dangerous, because I get under your influence, and it’s not safe, you know?” Villaseor, who left “SNL” before the new season, said. “I can not drive.”
Naturally, she then completely went into that notion, which led to raucous laughter from both Clarkson and Stephanie. “Do it again!” Stephanie said with a laugh. “Can you do it again?”
