Paramount Movies will soon release the new thriller Top fever, and MovieWeb may premiere an exclusive clip from the movie prior to the premiere. Starring Ryan Philippe and Freddie Thorp, the film follows a group of friends who go for what they imagine will be a good, old-fashioned mountaineering trip, only to end up struggling to survive when a vicious storm rolls in. The group prepares for the journey during the calm before the storm in our clip, which you can watch below, totally oblivious to the moment of the horrors that await them.
Top fever is written and directed by Julian Gilbey. Starring Freddie Thorp, Michel Biel, Mathilde Warnier, Hannah New, Theo Christine and Ryan Phillippe.

Ryan Phillippe and Freddie Thorp star in the adrenaline-fuelled thrill ride where an ambitious mountain expedition becomes a breathtaking struggle for survival. A daring dream to climb the world’s most challenging trio of mountains quickly turns into a terrifying nightmare for a group of friends when a deadly storm traps climbers at the summit, cutting off all hope of rescue. With the odds stacked against them, the friends are forced to trust each other to save themselves by any means necessary.
Summit Fever is Ryan Phillippe’s Latest Role
Phillippe is known for his past film roles in titles such as I know what you did last summer, cruel intentionsand Crash. His other recent film roles include: Lady of the Mansion, A shotand to collide. He also had major roles in the TV shows The Bang Bang Club, shooterand big sky. The actor is also attached to multiple upcoming movies including: American killer, the locksmithand Miranda’s victim. Meanwhile, he recently reprized his role as Dixon Piper in the Peacock series adaptation of MacGruber after first appearing in the 2010 film.
The actor has also talked about how he would have liked to return as Sebastian in a sequel to cruel intentions in an interview with Comicbook.com, although that’s not possible because that character is dead. There were at one point plans for a TV series continuation with Sarah Michelle Gellar back on board to return. The show didn’t move forward, something Gellar said she was thankful for recently. With the chance to revisit Sebastian from the table, Phillippe has held onto many other roles on both the big and small screen, such as what’s next with top fever.
