Touted as one of the most intriguing projects of the year, Mammootty’s Rorschach is all set for a major release on October 7th. The Malayalam superstar will portray a never-before-seen character in this film and that seems to be getting quite a bit of audience attention. Coming to the film, Rorschach is an action thriller directed by Nisam Basheer. Produced by Mammootty itself under the banner Mammootty Kampany, the film will be distributed by Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer films in Kerala, while Truth Global Films has secured the overseas rights for the same.

The film is dubbed as an “extreme thriller” with a layered plot, in which Mammootty plays the role of Luke Anthony who has a mysterious past and is on a mission to take revenge on someone who has deeply destroyed him. A source close to the film said: “The moviegoers are excited to see Mammooty in a hair-raising avatar as he prepares to deal with his ‘prey’. The intensity in his eyes is hard to miss. Rorschach will be Nisam Basheer’s second directorial venture after the Asif Ali-led romantic drama, Kettyolanu Ente Malakha. The genre is also different for him.”
Speaking of the film, in addition to the Malayalam superstar, the cast also includes Sharafudheen, Jagadish, Grace Antony, Bindu Panicker, Sanju Sivaram, Kottayam Nazeer, Babu Anoor, Mani Shornur, among others, who will be featured in pivotal roles. Sameer Abdul, who had written films like Adventures of Omanakkuttan Iblis, wrote the script for Rorschach. Nimish Ravi and Kiran Das serve as cinematographers and editors respectively. The music is composed by Midhun Mukundan. While Dussehra is celebrated on October 5, Rorschach appears on Friday, right after Navratri, on October 7.
