Last week, Alia Bhatt announced that she has won the Time100 Impact Award. On Sunday, the actress attended the National Gallery in Singapore to receive the same. At the awards ceremony, mother-to-be Alia Bhatt wowed the audience with a short but powerful speech that touched on her work in films, her brands and of course her family. As if that wasn’t enough, Brahmastra actress also spoke about her flaws, and how they play an important role in the making of Alia Bhatt.
Alia Bhatt Talks About Accepting Mistakes at Time100 Impact Awards; says, “Through my movies and my characters, I’ve tried to celebrate flawed people”
Speaking about flaws, Alia added: “So tonight I want to take a moment with all of you to celebrate my flaws along with my strengths. For example, I’m terrible at spelling. Like, really bad. But I know what to say to someone who is vulnerable I don’t understand geography Zero I don’t get directions But I have a deep sense of respect and respect for different cultures My general knowledge is generally known as weak But my emotional intelligence is something I’ve worked really hard to cultivate I tend to be hard on myself regarding my weight and my looks But I never say no to fries because, you know, YOLO. ”
Continuing on explaining that even in her film she has tried to bring out a character’s flaws, the actress added: “Through my movies and my characters, I have tried to celebrate flawed people. Because in the end, it’s the imperfections that make a character attractive. So what I’m trying to say is that being yourself is really the biggest impact you can make. In the movies and in life you don’t have to be perfect; you just have to bring everything you’ve got – the lows, the highs and the real things that we’re actually afraid to talk about. There is no greater impact than being yourself.”
Bollywood Hungama congratulates the actress and soon to be mother, Alia Bhatt, on achieving such a memorable success. On the work front, Alia Bhatt was last seen on the big screen directed by Ayan Mukerji Brahmastra next to Ranbir Kapoor. Later, the actress will make her Hollywood debut with Tom Harper’s Heart of stone.
