After an eight-year hiatus, veteran Bollywood actor Ayesha Jhulka returned to the entertainment industry with a web series entitled Hush Hush. While promoting the Prime Video original, the actress recalled the early years of her acting career. During such an interaction, she spoke about her first co-star Salman Khan and revealed a noble act of the latter.
Ayesha Jhulka says Salman Khan would look for beggars at night to donate food from sets; praises his ‘efforts’
In an interview with Mid-Day, the . said amma actress said she had a great experience working with Salman and thought he was a great person. Ayesha recalled that Salman Khan was already investing in philanthropy back then. She claimed Khan would pack up any food left on the sets and try to find someone to donate it to.
The Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar actress further added: “He would do his best to find a beggar even if it was late at night (and they) were sleeping on the road and then waking the beggar. Or someone needed real food and made a real effort, got out of his car and gave that food. I think he’s a sweet person. Without a doubt a brilliant actor.”
Hush Hush also features Soha Ali Khan, Juhi Chawla, Kritika Kamra, Shahana Goswami and Karishma Tanna among others. The seven-episode series began streaming on September 23, 2022. Tanuja Chandra’s direction revolved around a murder mystery.
