Armaan Malik is known for supporting emerging talent in the country and creating an unforgettable experience for his fans; this time he took it to world television to combine the two and surprise a contestant on Indian idol Season 13.

Rishi Singh from Ayodhya surprised the jury with his rendition of Malik’s ArmaanPehla Pyaar’ for his audition and instantly went viral on the internet when Armaan’s fans greeted Armaanian’s and shared the video of Rishi applauding. It was only a matter of time before Armaan noticed and shared it on his social media.

Speaking about the turn of events, Armaan said: “It’s always great to discover new voices from our country and when I came across the clip of Rishi Singh singing my song “Pehla Pyaar,” I couldn’t resist sharing it because he really nailed it. And not only that, my fans and listeners who have loved the original version did everything they could to spread it further, because an exceptional voice like his deserves to be heard.”

Armaan took it up a notch and decided to surprise Rishi and enrich the show with his presence; Rishi not only had the chance to meet his idol but also got the chance to perform with him in one of the biggest reality shows.

“The Indian Idol team contacted me because I came to the set and surprised Rishi, and I immediately said yes. In ‘The Dream Debut’ episode on Indian Idol last weekend, the two of us sang ‘Pehla Pyaar’ together on stage and it really was such a healing experience! I wish Rishi all the best on the show and I hope he continues to win our hearts with his performances,” he concluded.
