“Oblished,” the upcoming Netflix action-comedy series from the creators of “Cobra Kai,” is joining its cast.
Joining previously announced series regulars (Shelley Hennig, Nick Zano, Paola Lazaro, Eugene Kim, Alison Gorske, Terrence Terrell, Kimi Rutledge and C. Thomas Howell) in recurring roles include Carl Lumbly, David Costabile, Costa Ronin, Lindsey Craft , Tobias Jelinek. and Minnie Mills.
“Obulated” tells the story of an elite Special Forces team that thwarts a deadly threat to Las Vegas. After their celebratory party filled with alcohol, drugs and sex, the team learns that the bomb they defused Tha that was fake. Now the drunk team has to fight their infirmities, overcome their personal issues, find the real bomb and save the world,” according to a Netflix logline.
Lumbly (“The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”) will play CIA director Langdon, Ava’s (Hennig) boss and longtime mentor, as well as her official liaison for the mission.
Costabile (“Billions”) will play Maddox, a black-market operative and worthy adversary to our heroes.
Ronin (“The Americans”) will play Ivan Koslov, a cunning arms dealer who uses wit and charm to stay one step ahead of the Special Forces team.
Kraft (“Grace and Frankie”) will play “Yani”, a free-spirited lounge singer with a heart of gold and a craving for love.
Jelinek (“Agents of SHIELD”) plays Eren, a lethally effective one-man Swiss Army knife.
Minnie Mills (“The Summer I Turned Pretty”) plays Jane, the daughter of special forces pilot Paul (Kim), who heads to Las Vegas for her prom after-party, but unknowingly finds herself behind her father’s mission. Keeps it in the center.



On Wednesday, Netflix also confirmed the show’s guest stars, including Virginia Madsen as Marge, Lori Petty as Crazy Susan, Keston John as Mr. Dugan, Clive Standen as Liam, and Evan Guevara as Vlad.
“Cobra Kai”‘s Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg and Josh Heald are the show’s writers and executive producers. There is also an EP by Dinah Hillier from Counterbalance Entertainment.
The Sony Pictures Television show will have eight episodes of 60 minutes each.
