To celebrate the 10th anniversary of “Pitch Perfect”, which debuted in theaters on October 5, 2012, “Peacock” is sharing a musical mashup from their upcoming comedy series “Bumpers in Berlin”.

In the new video, Bumper (Adam Devine) mashes up “Take On Me” and “99 Luftballoon”, a mashup that goes viral in Germany and kicks off the action of the “Pitch Perfect” spinoff series.

“Bumpers in Berlin” will follow Devin’s Bumper to go from a cappella amateur to a cappella superstar, a journey that takes him to Titanic City.

“Bumper in Berlin” stars Devine, Sarah Hyland, Flula Borg, Lera Abova and Jameela Jamil from the “Pitch Perfect” franchise.

Megan Amram is a showrunner, writer and an executive producer. Devine, Elizabeth Banks and Max Handelman of Brownstone Productions, Paul Brooks and Scott Neymeyer of Gold Circle Films also attached as the EP.

“This journey to thinking began 15 years ago — from the discovery of a book by Mickey Rapkin, to three incredible films, and now a television series. We never could have imagined this story would go on,” said Banks, who starred in the film and directed “Pitch Perfect 2”, said in a statement. “It was really important to us that ‘Bumpers in Berlin’ be recognizable to fans for its unmatched comedy and phenomenal music, but completely different from what you’ve seen before. We love The Barden Bellas and ‘The Pitch’ Wanted to honor ‘Perfect’ world, while expanding into a fresh and wonderfully strange character journey. ,

Banks’ statement continued: “This story is about second chances, friendship and the idea that your dreams can come true in unexpected ways – anywhere in the world, at any time in your life. When we have Megan Amram on board brought, it was clear that they shared that vision and brought to life the entire Berliner world and characters in a way that only Megan could.”

Banks ended her statement by professing her love for the cast.

“They are the most talented and hilarious group of people,” she said. “It’s been so much fun watching Adam Devine grow as an actor and performer from his first ‘Pitch Perfect’ audition ten years ago. And see Sarah Hyland, Jameela Jamil, Lera Abova and the fully grown Berliner Flula Borg discover their talents.” And it’s an absolute pleasure to see them excel. We also worked with incredible musicians and artists to write songs that really spoke to each and every character. It’s just been an amazing journey and we’ve come to the world. Very excited to continue this story.”

The series comes from Universal Television, a division of Universal Studios Group.

All episodes will be available on Mayur on 23rd November.
