It’s not even been a week at the Bigg Boss house and the scandals seem to be spreading everywhere. The participants of the Bigg Boss 16 house woke up to the news that their captain was in trouble. Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia was called to the confessional after it was announced that she had been fired from her position as captain. While the rest of the participants watched the live feed of Nimrit’s conversation in the confessional, the master said he was disappointed that the house rules were repeatedly broken under her captaincy. Giving her a chance to redeem herself as captain with a challenge, he announced that the first person to sound the gong in the yard qualifies as a contender for captaincy. Before “Bigg Boss” finished his sentence, Shalin Bhanot rushed out and hit the gong. Obviously, this action upset Nimrit since he is a friend to her. She felt quite hurt after he hit the gong and challenged her captaincy. Will this mean the end of their friendship at home?

The captaincy dictated that both the contenders had to pose by balancing the baskets on their heads and the rest of the housemates had to stuff items into the basket of the contender they wanted to knock over. Whoever breaks his stance or drops the basket is defeated. It will be exciting to see who will bear the burden with grace and emerge victorious. The new captain is given the power to change the tasks and can appoint three new participants to perform the household tasks.
After the captaincy race, Bigg Boss also gave the week’s nominees (Gori Nagori, MC Stan, Sajid Khan, Shiv Thakre, Gautam Vig and Archana Gautam) a chance to save themselves from the threat of eviction. He assigned Gori Nagori a task, in which she had to captivate housemates and viewers with her dancing skills and convince the rest of the nominated participants to join her.
Her challenge is that if she succeeds, she earns the power to withdraw one entrant from the nomination list and save herself from eviction. She can also use this power for herself. If she fails, the other nominees will have the chance to immunize one contestant by unanimous decision (aapsi sehmati). The game is expected to feature some interesting master twists in the current season and the contestants
Bigg Boss 16 airs Monday through Friday at 10pm and every Saturday and Sunday at 9:30pm on Colors only.
