Priyanka Chopra recently came out in support of a burning issue regarding the Iranian government. The death of 22-year-old girl Mahsa Amini has sparked a worldwide protest against Guidance Patrol (Iranian morality police) as women raise their voices against the kind of violence they are subjected to, in countries like Iran. To extend her support, Bollywood American actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who is also the UNICEF ambassador, shared a post on social media asking people around the world to listen to the voices of Iranian women fighting for their rights.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas Comes to Support Iranian Women; says “They will and MUST not be voted”
In a post shared by Priyanka Chopra, she said: “Women in Iran and around the world are standing up and raising their voices, publicly cutting their hair and many other forms of protest for Mahsa Amini, whose young life was so brutally taken away by the Iranian morality police for wearing her hijab “inappropriately”. The voices speaking after centuries of enforced silence will rightly burst like a volcano! And they will and SHOULD not be stolen. I am in awe of your courage and your purpose. It “It’s not easy to literally risk your life to challenge the patriarchal establishment and fight for your rights. But you are brave women who do this every day, no matter the cost to yourself.”
She added: “For this movement to have a lasting impact, we need to hear their call, understand the issues and then join our collective voices. We also need to ensure that everyone who can influence others participates. Numbers are important.”

In another post the actress shared earlier this week, Priyanka Chopra Jonas posed with US Vice President Kamala Harris as she urged American women to vote and urged the need to understand the rights to exercise their votes.
