As the holiday season kicks in, the upcoming episode of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10 will air with a special theme of the week which is ‘Kapoor Special’. Matching the celebration, one of its most iconic stars, Neetu Kapoor will join the show as a celebrity guest judge. While the episode is expected to witness the legacy of the Kapoor family, from Prithviraj Kapoor to Ranbir Kapoor, which will include a number of interesting performances, the show will also feature Tanzanian social media star Kili Paul making a brief appearance. Amid all the fuss, contestants Niti Taylor and her choreographer Akash Thapa left our celebrity judge emotionally as they recreated the wedding of her son Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt with the song, ‘khuda jaane’.

In the episode ‘Kapoor Special’, all the contestants were featured on their favorite Kapoor songs and paid tribute to them. The episode also features many of them recounting their memories they shared with the Kapoors. But it was Niti Taylor’s performance on ‘khuda jaane’ from the 2008 Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone starrer Bachna Ae Haseeno that made Neetu Kapoor emotional. She even went on to hug the couple onstage while recalling Ralia’s wedding memories. Neetu Kapoor revealed that during the wedding of her son Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, the Kapoor Khandaan did not have enough space to dance. Hearing this, host Maniesh Paul invited all participants to recreate the baraat moment and dedicate it to Bollywood’s power couple. While Neetu Kapoor was moved by this gesture, a sweet surprise awaited her. Now that Ranbir and Alia are parents-to-be, Madhuri gifted the grandmother-to-be Neetu Kapoor with an idol of Baal Gopal.
On the other hand, the judges also spoke about their memories with the Kapoors. Madhuri shared a memory of Shashi Kapoor who invariably addressed her by her last name ‘Dixit’. Karan Johar recalled how Rishi Kapoor jokingly scolded him for addressing him as an “uncle” during a shoot. Not just the judges, even Zorawar wrote down his father’s bond with Rishi Kapoor, who supported all of his restaurant launches and monitored him often.
While Neetu Kapoor expressed her love over the contestants’ performances, she also revealed the names of the wildcard entries – Sriti Jha, Nishant Bhat and Ada Malik who will now compete against the rest of the contestants on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10. show airs Saturdays and Sundays at 8 p.m. on Colors and is also available on the streaming platform VOOT.
