The wait is almost over! On November 3rd, the fourth season of The dragon prince will hit Netflix and the audience will finally return to Xadia! But with the new trailer, which you can watch below, things get exciting!
The trailer gives us a taste of everything! Two years have passed since the war for Xadia, and everyone has settled into their new roles. Ezran is still quite young, but has grown into a worthy king. Meanwhile, Callum has become quite comfortable in his new role as the new high mage. The Queen of Dragons prepares to visit the kingdom of Katolis with the now-elder Zym, but Callum cannot hold his own. Rayla has been missing for years and he still misses her.
Meanwhile, Claudia has worked hard to bring her father, Lord Viren, back from the dead. Although she succeeded, Viren only has thirty days. Their only hope is to find and free Aaravos, whose only link to this realm is in the mirror that now resides in Callum’s study.
The stage is ready and we get our montage. We see familiar faces, such as fan-favorite Amaya and her elf friend. Claudia and her new boyfriend, Terry, also make a brief appearance in the trailer. We also see brand new faces, such as the elf that gets Claudia in trouble, a strange gole-like creature and at the very end a rocky dragon. We also see fan-favorite Rayla, older and stronger, with a new friend of her own!

After almost three years of silence, the team behind The dragon prince has pulled out all the stops with teasers, posters and trailers for the upcoming season. The clips so far have provided subtle hints to set the stage, such as Callum’s new role, the time jump, and an official introduction from Terry. While the latest teaser was mainly a recap of the first three seasons, this one is all about what’s to come and gives fans a ton of meat to speculate about! The icing on the cake is Rayla’s return, but where has she been? Well, it turns out that if you read the books, you’ll get your answers!
The Dragon Prince: Through the Moon is a graphic novel published in 2020 and set right after the events of Season 3. The book revolves around Rayla’s internal struggle. While Viren is presumed dead and her friends are celebrating, she can’t shake the feeling that it’s not over yet. Since his body has not been found, Rayla is sure he is still there. She also suffers the mystery of her parents’ disappearance, as well as the fate of her former caretaker, Runaan. She goes on her own journey, trying to unravel those mysteries, but the book has an open ending, leading to season four.
With so many open endings, there’s a lot to hope for in season four. But from what we’ve already seen, fans are only reacting with more and more excitement. With everything we got, it looks like the team is behind it The dragon prince is as excited as we are to see our friends again!
